Adult Driving Course
During a two hour driver training lesson we teach how to drive legally and safely according to DMV standards in preparation for the drive test. We cover defensive driving and driver’s responsibility to ensure that the student is following the rules of the road. We prepare students to have the ability and skills needed to take preventative action to avoid a collision with other drivers. Our vehicles are equipped with an accelerator and a brake pedal on the passenger side for better control and safety of the student and instructors.
Some of the skills we focus on are as follows:
- The controls of the vehicle
- How to use the steering wheel to make controlled turns
- How to make a right / left turn
- How much or how far to turn the steering wheel
- How and when to softly apply the brakes or the gas pedal
- How to drive in light / heavy traffic*
- How to switch lanes
- How to read / understand traffic lights
- How to read / understand arrow traffic lights
- How to park next to a curb, in a parking lot and parallel parking
- How to make a u-turn and three-point turn *

Lesson locations at a greater distance than 5 – 20 miles from our service areas incur a $10 – $25 per course at the areas out of our base areas. The lesson pickup location zip code is required at Registration Checkout.

- Free Pickups and Drop-offs – At home or from school
- 7 days a week including weekend & evening classes
Terms & Conditions
- The driving test fees for using the car from Driving School with an appointment test based on DMV Drive Test locations. Walking Test (West Covina or Lincoln Park) the package will be charged more. Price subject to change without notice
- Requirements: Photocopy of permit. This course is for under 18 years of age only.
- All prices are affected from April 21st, 2023.
- We reserve the courtesy right to refuse service to anyone.
- Refund Policy: We allow six months to complete the Complete Teen Course. We allow three months to complete any other course package. While we understand that special circumstances occur, no refunds can be made after payment is received.
7 days a week including weekend & evening classes
We do not match the training fees with the other driving schools or driving instructors running business out there by themselves, because they do not train you the driving techniques and the full course like we do.

06-Hour | Adult Behind the Wheel Driving Lesson
We offer behind-the-wheel instruction for anyone over the age of 18 and over. All adult lessons are behind the wheel only. We will teach you defensive driving practices and prepare you for the driver’s test. We will train you from the beginning stages to becoming a licensed driver.
We specialize in training people who have recently moved to the U.S. Our instructors are very experienced in working with people from different backgrounds. Always remember, age and ability are not a barrier to success; so, whether you have never been behind the wheel or you have not driven in a while, Atlantic Driving School gets you back on the road!
