Chapter 2: The Human Factors Effecting the Driver
The driver must be in good physical condition in order to drive safely. He or she needs to be able to see and hear well enough to detect potential hazards and handle emergency situations. The driver must have the ability to scan and recognize traffic signs and signals, pedestrians, vehicles, and other potential hazards. The driver must have good perception of his or her environment and have the ability to decide and execute actions needed to avoid potential hazards. Lastly, the driver must have a good mental attitude when operating a vehicle.
